John W. English taught journalism for 30 years at The University of Georgia, where a graduate student named Jim Pettigrew introduced him to Rev. Brown. Given an affinity for historic preservation and cultural anthropology, English wanted to document one of the last street singers in the South. This film has been shown on television in Hong Kong and Germany and was honored at the London Film Festival. John Died in January 2024
