Filmmakers

Nikolai Fox was born in 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he was encouraged in the arts from a young age. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic (Bar Harbor, Maine) in 2000 after which he studied painting and drawing at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received the Jane Morrison Foundation Grant for Emerging Filmmakers in Maine in 2001 which enabled him to study advanced digital cinematography at the Maine Media Workshops in 2006. Nikolai currently lives on Mount Desert Island in Maine where he works as a filmmaker, video producer and arts educator.
