Erin Kellen, born 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama, is a retired librarian and folklorist who was a producer on two films about Alabama folk traditions. Unbroken Tradition (1986) features Alabama folk potter Jerry Brown of Hamilton, Alabama. Sweet Is the Day (2001) explores the role of Sacred Harp singing in the lives of one extended family, the Woottens of Sand Mountain in northeastern Alabama. She is married to Jim Carnes, who directed Sweet Is the Day.
