Tyler Kinney studied Film and Media at Temple University in Philadelphia. His abstract video work focuses on deconstructing video technology, often in a live setting. Collaborating with composers and live performers, his work has shown at universities, museums, and festivals around the US. His documentary work seeks to explore difficult themes with implied subjectivity. He lives in Louisville, KY.
