Keith Bear (1995)

About the Film

Musician Keith Bear (whose name in the Mandan language is O'Mashi! Ryu Ta or Northern Lights in the English translation) considers himself a survivor of the foster system. His childhood was spent cut off from his tribal traditions but he was able to reconnect to his own identity through the music he makes and the pipes he crafts to honor his ancestors.
